Hello everyone! I am planning to send some Filipino snacks to my boss there in Latvia. A co-worker will travel there and asked him if he can bring it to my boss. He will either put it in his carry-on or checked-in luggage.
So, I was wondering if snacks like dried mangoes, or piaya (pic above) would be allowed? The website only states these are allowed from “third countries that are Member states of EU” but of course, Philippines are not part of it. Paldies!

Dried mangoes are fine I think, but I’ve bought them at Rimi (ubiquitous supermarket chain) so maybe not the best choice.
You’re going to have trouble with any animal products; meat especially is non-starter. EU is very serious about meat.

In checked nobody most probably won’t notice.
Take it in carryon for easy disposal if rejected.
