In lots of cultures it’s a sign of massive disrespect to put something underfoot to be stood on. In a similar vein, putting the flag on roundabouts for people to drive over would be massively disrespectful to a symbol of the nation. Think that one through. Also, the Union Jack has a right and wrong way up. I’ve seen loads of upside down flags round my way.
Ignoring people’s concerns about immigration got us Brexit, ignoring people’s concerns about immigration will also get us a reform government. Is anyone going to take immigration seriously enough to satisfy the people who vote?
