It seems to be the latest craze I’m afraid, destroying statues and memorials. The Ukrainians are destroying one today in Kiev in an official ceremony. Also various other statues around the world vandalised/officially destroyed.
I mean it’s probably just someone that thought this abomination of a blue plaque was stupid and ripped it off.
The guy deserves to be memorialised but not with a blue plaque on the bridge he was murdered.
That’s neither what they’re for (notable dwellings) or particularly respectful
