I loved 2000AD as a kid. The first copy I bought had Dredd raiding some gang hangout on his bike. He killed 30 something guys in 5 pages and killed the boss by jumping his bike off a swimming pool diving board, and the bike splitting the guy in half. I was immediately hooked.
I remember a comic where the Irish Judge found human body parts in a pie he was eating. Turned out medical students from Trinity College were putting human body parts from cadavers into pies in restaurants as a prank.
The title of the story was “When Irish Pies are Smiling” and I’m almost certain they came up with the title before the story.
Haha I must check out this one.
I guess the Murphy’s finally took Dublin.

Not a fan of Garth Ennis that much but I did laugh how one of the pages in this had the Irish judge suggest they check out a pub because that’s where the terrorists hang out and Dredd says “You’ve said that about the last three pubs we’ve been in” !
Cool fact. Dredd ages in time with the comic. He’s now much older than in the beginning. It’s cool to read
