Ryanair postpones Tel Aviv winter flights amid airport dispute

Budget carrier Ryanair doesn’t plan to restart flights this winter to Tel Aviv due to a long running dispute with airport authorities.

The airline is postponing 22 routes to and from Ben Gurion Airport as it won’t confirm its slot availability for next summer.

It potentially impacts up to one million seats this winter.

Ryanair has also been in dispute over the use of the low-cost Terminal 1 (T1).

The airline was previously forced to shift operations to the more expensive Terminal 3 (T3).

Ryanair says it will only restart Israel services when its summer slots are confirmed and T1 is available for use even during future disruptions.

The airline slammed the airport for ‘refusing to honour low-cost agreements.’
