2. Britain historically does not care. Don’t see why the Palestinian petition should have better success than any other former colony. Ask Ireland how well redress for military occupation and poor behavior of their soldiers has gone.

3. Weird timing . He’s had literally forever to do this. I think it actually riskes the empathy that Brits have for Palestine.

   we love fair play and will stand up for the oppressed , but don’t ask us to own our past – else you might not be not be offered the good biscuits when you come over for tea.

4. Can the EU and its Member States, get the same thing from Palestinians and the rest of the non-European Mediterranean area for:
   – Invading / colonising the Roman Empire.
   – Invading / colonising the Francs Kingdoms.
   – Invading / colonising the Iberic peninsula.
   – Invading / colonising Greece and parts of South-eastern Europe.
   – Blocking the silk the road (forcing Europe to circumvent Africa and expand westward, triggering the start of colonialism)
   – European enslavement.

   After all, if someone wishes to be compensated for some harm that took place in the past, anyone who has been harmed in the past is also entitled to compensation.
