62% to go boys, just in time for winter.
38% of the way there
Oooof.
That’s uhhh…significant.
It’s a good start now finish the job
And winters around the corner too….ouch.
Great news
So we were getting old numbers. It was worse than we expected. 30% is due to things other than drone strikes, but probably influenced by lost workers and reduced supplies because of the drone strikes.
Theres a side to the civilian side that doesnt get discussed much. The gas stations themselves. When these sit idle for weeks, then months without fuel and without use, under the best weather conditions devices begin to fail. All gas dispensers are metered, those meters lock up. The motors in the tanks, sittong idle and dry, good chance when you go to fire it back up the capacitors are dead, relays could be dead, rotors could be locked. This takes technicians to repair. I can tell you the number of fuel stations to technicians is not even. Theres plenty more I could list but this is bad news that will ripple through EVERYTHING.
I’ve been saying it for a while now. The refineries are key to Ukraine winning the war. They are complex and harder to repair than distribution systems.
The products they produce are higher margin products than unrefined crude, so this has a multiplier effect on reducing russia’s export revenues.
And constraining russia’s fuel production causes logistical issues throughout the entire russian economy. Trucks and trains don’t run. Food doesn’t reach the cities. Materials don’t reach the factories. Military supplies don’t reach the front.
This leaves russia with dilemmas. If they begin importing refined products, this drains their hard currency reserves even faster. If they redirect civilian allocations to maintain the military operations, this will result in cold russian homes, severe shortages of civilian goods, including food. That leads to a political crises that could lead to regime change. If they maintain civilian allocations, then military operations will grind to a halt. No fuel for transporting food and ammo. No aircraft flying. No tanks running to attack or defend.
They’re really making a dent lately. Nice!
If russia turns into a third world economy I won’t shed a tear – not one. If their entire economy collapsed I wouldn’t shed a tear – not one. If the leaders of their nation suddenly found windows more popular than doors – no tears. This is the fruit of their labour. This is what they are harvesting after the war crimes they have been committing against Ukraine.
You reap what you sow. God is not mocked.
Слава Україні 🇺🇦 Героям Слава 🇺🇦 Слава Богу 🙏
I hope they can hit them even harder.
I’m surprised how fast they could repair them and that the damage to each unit was not as big as hoped.
moscow before christmas?
Just stop oil.
So far…
Pump those numbers up, need to hit 69%
So what are the actual practical effects of this in terms of how it affects Russias ability to prosecute the war?
of one refinery or all? I heard it was 10% which is still a lot!

Will China step in if this seriously disrupts russian economy?
“Those are rookie numbers. Gotta pump those numbers up.”
