Russia’s fifth largest oil refinery was on fire this morning. Yaroslavl Oil Refinery with the total capacity of 15.7mln tons of oil per year was targeted. 700km from the frontline. Possibly caused by falling debris 01.10.2025

  5. Poor orcs. If there only was a very easy way to stop refineries going boom, something like retreat and pay for damages.

  11. Good to see Ukraine helping Russia get off oil. Soon Russians will buy electric Ladas. Or take a donkey to work.

  12. Supposedly Ukraine denies there was a strike. The fire may actually have been caused by the refinery- lacking parts and maintenance- having an accident when basically overclocking to pick up the slack of the other refineries that are damaged.

    That would be even better than a strike tbh.

  21. The oil refinery has put up a smoke screen as an additional measure to preempt further attacks.
