  1. What’s this picture? Any source of the actual thing?

  2. “”It’s just another Western-sponsored colour revolution””

  3. I couldn’t decide which photo to posts (multiple photos aren’t allowed), so I made this stupid collage. Here are the nice individual photos for anyone interested:

Here’s also some videos, in chronological order of the protest (not the time they were actually posted; links are not endorsements):

The atmosphere is calm and somber since today’s exactly 11 months since the canopy in Novi Sad fell and killed 16 people.

Protests are ongoing right now in all the other major cities as well.

  4. To put some context these are anti corruption protests demanding snap elections

Protests startet after tragedy in Novi Sad where 16 people lost their lives due to corrupted construction works

  5. Wicked country with autocratic post war agression from the Balkan Yugoslav wars people still in government there.

And it’s like a Balkan Belarus with crashing force over normal people

  6. The Serbians should be an example of sturdiness for the rest of the would, or at least for some neighbouring countries

  7. But didn’t Vucic say he defeated the “color revolution”? /s

Good. The Serbs have shown great perseverance despite the constant effort of Vucic and his cronies. I hope they’ll win eventually, but the government has shown time and time again that they’re ready to stoop to new lows and resort to serious violence.

  8. That’s not a protest, that’s half the city on the streets

  9. Is that a format for bees? The pictures need to be at least…. 3 times bigger!

  10. I followed this at least since your bicycle ride from Serbia to Brussels and learned more about Vucic as time went on. You have a good cause which is one borne out by the facts of how bad Vucic has been for democracy. This struggle against authoritarianism, corruption, and political cynicism is more and more necessary in the whole world – including in America, Turkey, Georgia, Serbia, Hungary and the rest of Europe. I hope others see your bravery wherever they are and that it plants seeds of courage far beyond Serbia.

I noticed somebody wrote to at least 15 German MEPs about it. At the 2nd and 7th links you can see responses from Prof. Angelika Niebler (CSU) and Anna Cavazzini (Greens). MEPs from those parties are reviewing SNS’s relationship with the EPP or have participated in protests in Serbia. It would be good also if SPD MEPs would start to acknowledge the issues in Serbia. I wrote a letter myself a while ago, but it is still too long to send (about one page). If anybody would be interested helping me review my letter to cut it down PM me and I can send it over (it’s in English, will translate to German).

  11. Thought it was Belgorod for a second. Ah. Anyway good luck to you all! Fight for your rights!
