Is this as funny as my Finnish friend thinks it is? She says the name is funny.

  1. The first time I visited Finland was in 1998 with my then girlfriend (now wife of 22 years). I was listening to her talking to her brother and mother not understanding a word they were saying, but I kept hearing “eye, knee”.

  2. Having lived a year in Finland in 1982, I still got the joke. Funny but no haha. Even so, I think it is funnier to Finns. It would be like naming an American product “Meh” (not the same meaning)

  3. Ai NIIN. Muistin just että NIINhän se meni eikä NIIN kuin iltalehti kirjoitti. NIIkseen se oli NIIN lähellä mutta NIIN kaukana. NIINistöhän NIIN myös totesi. Suomen yleisin sana on NONIIN. Eikä Jaa

  4. Actually pretty funny if you say it while sighing or ingressively (breathe in while saying it). That way, you’ll get a nice passive-aggressive flavor to it.
