1. Given his current poll numbers, I doubt this suspension will last past the 2026 election. He’s sitting at 12% approval and has been trying to illegally force through a referendum proposal to rewrite the constitution (to remove checks on his power) while picking a fight with its largest trading partner. His party’s candidate in the 2026 election is only polling 12%. That is not a resounding endorsement of his policy, and if his candidate loses the election, I expect most of his ideological stances will be abandoned by the new president
