WANA (Oct 02) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and international developments.

During the call, both sides underlined the importance of cooperation between the two neighboring countries in all areas of mutual interest.

They stressed the need to strengthen coordination and collaboration both bilaterally and within international organizations to safeguard regional and global peace and stability.

The foreign ministers described the Palestinian issue as the most pressing matter of the Islamic world, urging immediate and effective action by Muslim countries to end what they called the genocide of Palestinians and to hold perpetrators accountable.

Araghchi also thanked Pakistan for its responsible stance at the UN Security Council in opposing attempts by three European countries to misuse the JCPOA dispute resolution mechanism to reimpose terminated Security Council resolutions.

He emphasized that, in line with the provisions of the JCPOA and Resolution 2231, the resolution must be considered terminated on October 18, 2025.
