Driving a Ford Fiesta Rally2 on Pirelli tyres, the 25-year-old finished runner-up to team-mate Jon Armstrong on the Welsh event last month, his fifth start on Tarmac in a Rally2 car.
And the FIA Rally Star driver’s stock was raised further when he won Rally Blendio Princesa de Asturias – Ciudad de Oviedo, a round of the Supercampeonato de España de Rallyes, the following weekend.
“It was a gap we wanted to fill, but we’re mostly doing it because Croatia will be back in the WRC next year,” said Jürgenson, the 2024 Junior WRC champion. “It’s a great opportunity and looking at our speed [in Wales] maybe we can support Jon in the championship.”
