Conducting Effective Internal Investigations – From Intake to Resolution
Join Wiley’s Employment and White Collar attorneys for a practical, three-part training to guide employers through the full lifecycle of internal workplace investigations. Routine employment investigations into discrimination or wage-and-hour claims often uncover white collar issues like fraud or embezzlement – and the reverse scenario is just as common. This series draws on our cross-disciplinary experience to help employers conduct thorough, defensible investigations and minimize legal risk.
Training Topics and Schedule:
October 16 Panel: Setting Up Your Investigation. Learn how to select the investigation team, develop a plan for the investigation, and identify relevant documents for review.
October 28 Panel: Conducting Interviews. Interviewing is often the most difficult aspect of any investigation. This panel will teach core interview skills to handle even the most challenging conversations and obtain critical information.
November 11 Panel: Closing out the Investigation. Explore best practices for drafting investigation reports, making recommendations, and implementing appropriate follow-up actions to close out the matter effectively.
