    But the history of all this region was and is used by states and powerful men for themselves.
    When someone talk about cultural unity, historical bond or something like this they are doing for a reason.
    And even mentioning it can be hard, since the Nzs and USSR was doing it a lot

    Which region of the world’s has had its history not shaped by any political trends, exactly?

    Literally every single geopolitical aspect in the world today is the consequence and a product of an historical political trend.
