Will never go in that place again, got caught there for a few hours about 3 years ago, also ordered two pints of Carlsberg and almost laughed when he said “15 euro”. Should be hitting a tenner a pint in Dublin in a year or two.
Robbing bastards in that place. Dont know how any irish person would step foot in it. Cant even move in the kip either.
Is it even a good pub?
Never been in it because I like not being completely ripped off
It’s because of Russia…well that’s what everything is blamed on nowadays…wouldn’t go near the kip.
I heard that they charge €5 for asking what the price is
The most expensive bar in the most expensive tourist trap in the country has expensive prices?!? STOP THE FUCKING PRESSES!!!!
*”Rip off Ireland”*
First off why would you got to the pub as it is know to be expensive
Second, who drinks Carlsberg 🙂
If you drink in temple bar you deserve these prices.
If you really have to go to Temple Bar then go to the Halpenny Bridge Inn, pints are decent and a fair price and far better atmosphere than that kip
€17.80 nah I’m good pour it down the sink
I got 2 pints of same for €5.60 20 minutes earlier in Larnaca, Cyprus ….. a much finer location
You would get a slab of 24 a few months ago for that
Their attack on those two young lads last year should have been the death of this blood sucking kip.
Anybody that buys Carlsberg has to have a wee want in them anyway
You paid 20 quid more or less for 2 pints hahahahaha 😳😳😳😳 jesus christ and I bet you probably went back for 2 more mental
You go to tourist places you pay tourist prices
Don’t understand why people don’t realise this place is just a tourist trap. They live off the tourists who want to get a picture of themselves getting a pint in there.
I prefer Gogarty’s
Ah here leave it out
Mind it does include the VAT, excise duty, music charge and cover charge… but no service charge. Seems like a lot of double dipping. If there is a cover charge, what is the music charge or why is a service charge optional? Why even include excise duty ? Why not include business rates, income tax levy and electricity Fuel surcharge ? Oh…May as well throw in an environmental levy and a carbon offset contribution. Round it up to Eu20 -great value for all the social responsibility and do-goodery and a pint thrown in !
Carlsberg don’t even charge that for the best pint in the world
I’ve about the same level of shock and sympathy to this as the Americans flooding the Internet with pictures of their petrol prices and immediate spoiler – that’d be none.
Is this new information? Cos this looks like very old information that everyone already knows.
Drink in Swords next time. Much cheaper and nicer. The only part of Dublin that is not a ripoff for a few pints, or at least if it is 5 or 6 quid in some places there, the quality of the bar is decent.
Let’s give it up for table 5!
Just back from new york where the cheapest bottle of shower gel I could find was 9 dollars (I’ll stick with the peasant soap thanks) , this seems reasonable in comparison 😂
Walked out of gibney’s in Malahide a number of years ago, after they looked for €5+ for a pint of Guinness, it was a Tuesday evening and wanted to see a champion’s league match with the Brother. Handed over a tenner, and expected change, they wanted more, so I asked for my tenner back and headed across the road.
Don’t take pictures of the receipt, just walk out, and if enough people do it, they might take notice.
seems cheap for temple bar… surprised they arent asking for your first born child..
Service not included is the real scam, an American might feel obliged to tip another 18%. That line is gouging people in my opinion.
What do they mean “service is not included” so how they pay their staff then because I’m not going to pay them for ya
” I went to the most expensive pub in Ireland and I could not believe how expensive it was!”

Why does anyone go into these places at all.
