Only way you’re solving petty crime is with a heavy handed mayor and PM, neither of them would ever do it.
instant deportation and mandatory prison time would do the trick. Stick in some AI cameras to help spot offenders and you’re in the money.

As long as the police are getting stabbed, and I’m unarmed, it won’t ever be my problem.
This was at the boots on Northcote road.
No idea why but the shop lifters love that store.
Hope the cop recovers well.
And the met police want us innocent bystanders to do more than just film it and post on social media. It is not worth risking your health or life to stop a shoplifter from stealing a few quids worth of shite from a supermarket. If you end up injuring them, then you’ll probably get arrested for assault and/or GBH.
Build more prisons, recruit more police officers, tighten the laws and kick the judiciary system up their collective backsides.
For those that don’t want to click – this is a misleading headline. Both shoplifters have been arrested and are in custody. Because they injured the officer they have been arrested for GBH and obstruction as well as theft. The officer got a head injury and went to hospital – which would be standard if they either had potential concussion or a cut that required stitches. I very much doubt they were “rushed to hospital” since it doesn’t seem to be a major injury and they have already been discharged.
So yeah – this article is purposefully being dramatic.
I love how that fortuitous article about a heroic cop comes out 2 days after the documenting of what everyone already knew: that the Met is *the* largest employer of racists, sexists and violent rapist maniacs out there.
