  11. There’s a lot of misinformation going around.

    1. ACA subsidies are not ending. It’s only the enhanced premium tax credits that Democrats established in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and extended in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). In the IRA they decided not to extend them again or make them permanent in part because the tax credits were a temporary subsidy for COVID, and in part because the expense to make them permanent will be enormous, and as a result could not be accomplished via the budget reconciliation process. Both ARPA and the IRA were reconciliation bills, similar to the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB).

    2. Even with the enhanced premium tax credits expiring, [generous ACA subsidies](https://thefga.org/research/bidens-covid-credits-are-obamacare-expansion-congress-should-allow-expire/) will remain. For example, earners making 2.5 times the federal poverty level (about $40k for an individual and $80k for a family of four) will still have almost 70% of their premium covered by other taxpayers.

  22. Well, since we’re talking about Covid-19 related subsidies to the PPACA, perhaps Covid-19 reasons should be used to extend the subsidies.

    President Trump says on his website “A lab-related incident involving gain-of-function research is the most likely origin of COVID-19.”, why is anyone disagreeing with that? If it’s a man-made origin, that would mean the public have been made a part of an experiment. And, because of this along with Covid-19’s resurgence, subsidies should be continued.

    That’s the best argument for continuing subsidies, but you won’t hear Democrats making it, because aiding a Chinese lab’s wrongful death problem supersedes advocating for constituents.

    I don’t see where a single Democrat has benefited by the Democrat’s diagnosis on how we got into this Covid-19 mess in the first place.
