  1. She may be the first female prime minister, but she is terrible for women. It’s sad what’s happening around the world.

  2. Far-right pm in Japan in these days. Not the best news to hear as a Korean.

  3. Another Trump-type figure leading a powerful democracy…

  4. This is so weird so many downvotes because I said I don’t support illegal immigrant. Need workforce you invited people come legally, give them fair paychecks. This is good and clear give and take relationship. Come to work, doesn’t mean you have a right to be a citizen. Why combine this two concepts?

Treat people equally, legally I thought that’s what we need in a decent society.

  5. Well, at the very least, Korea-Japan relations will come to a complete halt.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Japan’s first female prime minister will punish South Korea, a country that’s considered inferior to Japan, for challenging it. /S

  6. To provide some context as to why she has public support, she is the only anti-austerity candidate who puts her priority in tackling cost of living due to inflations

And her main opponent Koizumi’s team was caught writing stealth marketing posts that attacks her and disqualifying party members that supported her in the past so they couldn’t vote this time around

  7. Former PM Kishida allegedly called her “Taliban Takaichi” duento her views. Gonna be heady times ahead.

  8. I hate this. I’m a woman in Japan, and I’m so confused as to why the party is called the Liberal Democratic Party, when they are in fact hard line conservatives. Democratic is also questionable but I don’t want to get into that.

We don’t need any more far right grifters as global leaders!!! Like fuck, especially a woman who is anti-woman? Gtfo
