PORTLAND, Ore. – The White House announced a review of potential aid cuts to Portland, with President Trump emphasizing that the federal government will not fund states that “allow anarchy,” according to a press release.

President Trump has directed his team to assess the situation. The announcement includes an immediate surge of federal resources, such as enhanced CBP and ICE resources, to ensure law and order in Portland.

A federal judge is expected to decide by the end of the day today or early tomorrow morning on whether to temporarily block the Trump administration from deploying the National Guard into Oregon.

This decision is part of a broader legal challenge against President Trump’s efforts to address what he describes as crime in Democrat-led cities.

Oregon and Portland officials filed a lawsuit earlier this week against the administration after Trump announced plans to send National Guard troops to what he referred to as “war-ravaged Portland.”

The state argues that this order is illegal and claims the president lacks the authority to mobilize state troops for federal action.

City leaders have voiced concerns that the National Guard’s presence could lead to increased protests and unrest.
