In today’s job market, it’s already quite difficult for most people to find a job that offers good health benefits from the company. The GOP wants to cut off the group of people who were previously covered by Medicaid, while at the same time causing a sharp increase in premiums for those who were previously insured through the Affordable Care Act, as well as for employees who joined ACA plans after being laid off and no longer receiving full health insurance from their companies. How are these millions of people supposed to maintain their previous standard of living? Personally, I really don’t support slashing health benefits so drastically in today’s tough job market

  27. I think that this is all just bluster. I really don’t see how the administration *can* fire federal workers while the government is shutdown. Firing workers would require some sort of activity by the OPM, who are all furloughed right now.
