The next Brdo-Brijuni Summit will be held in Durrës, Albania, on Monday, with the participation of Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar.

This was announced by the Office of the Slovenian President, according to the Slovenian media outlet “STA“, adding that the meeting will focus on the European perspective of the Western Balkans.

“Leaders will also pay particular attention to the EU’s plan for economic growth in the Western Balkans.”

The Brdo-Brijuni Summit is a regional political initiative that aims to accelerate the European integration process of the Western Balkan countries and strengthen regional cooperation.

The summit was launched in 2010 by Slovenia and Croatia, and the initiative took its name from the two places where the first meetings were held: Brdo pri Kranju in Slovenia and Brijuni in Croatia.

Participating countries in this summit are the six Western Balkan countries, as well as the two founding countries, Slovenia and Croatia, which are members of the EU. /Express/
