I saw Gerry Carroll talk about the PSNI in London and was gonna ask if he accidentally wrote PSNI instead or Police. Makes more sense now.

Wowsers. I’m not pro Palestine by a long stretch but as a Non-white (Indian) guy I would hate to think what they’d do to me if I was there too . They’d just kick the crap out of me just for being there by the looks of it
Police forces in the UK often do Mutual Aid where they request additional support from other police forces.
Back in the summer time, Belfast had a bunch of Police Scotland officers about ready to respond to more racist riots. Most Mutual Aid requests that come from the PSNI are either during instances when there’s a massive event (like the G8 summit in Enniskillen) or when they’re overwhelmed by rioting and can’t spare the resources for regular policing.
The PSNI is often called upon for certain mutual aid requests for police dog units or for expert marksmen which the PSNI still has as a Troubles hold over.
I’ve never seen the PSNI be called upon to give public order policing aid, though. Usually if they do, it’s for the armoured Land Rovers, which the Brits don’t have, and not to send a bunch of guys in regular uniform to stand around, which is something literally any other force could do.

Easier to go over there gets well paid and beat a wee old lady or someone for standing up against genocide.
