SOS Malta has launched an “urgent appeal” to raise funds for critical relief and care for the children in Gaza.
The NGO’s “emergency” fundraising campaign “Hope for the Children of Gaza” aims to provide food, clean water, medical aid, trauma support, and access to education for children who have lost homes, family members and “the sense of safety every child deserves”.
“The recent acceptance of the Peace Plan offers a fragile but vital opportunity for humanitarian access and rebuilding. SOS Malta hopes that this moment of hope can translate into real relief for Gaza’s children, who have endured unimaginable suffering,” Claudia Taylor East of SOS Malta said.
She added that through this campaign, she hoped to reach children – “Gaza’s most vulnerable” – with food, care, education and healing and “to remind them that the world has not forgotten them”.
SOS Malta said that €20 can provide food and water for a week, €50 can support trauma counselling and €100 can help rebuild a safe learning space.
Donations can be made via the dedicated SOS Malta webpage.
