The Ukraine U17 national football team secured its first victory in the Euro 2026 qualifying match. In the second round, the squad coached by the manager defeated Estonia 2:0.
In the previous match, the Ukrainian side faced Montenegro and finished the encounter in a 1:1 draw, while Estonia in the first round suffered a defeat to Italy – 1:8.
Ukraine’s goals were scored by Yaroslav Buravtsov in the 40th minute and Kirill Serdyuk, who found the net in the 76th minute – 2:0 in favor of our team.
Following this victory, Ukraine leads Group 1 with four points from two matches, with a total goal difference of 3:1. In the parallel fixture, Italy were defeated by Montenegro 1:2, so the Ukrainians ahead of Montenegro on tiebreakers.
In the third round of the qualifying with 28 teams to the elite group, the winner and runner-up of the group advance. Ukraine’s next match will be against the Italian national team. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, at 15:30 Kyiv time.

The victory over Estonia gives the Ukrainian team excellent chances to advance to the elite round of Euro 2026 qualifying among U17. The results of the other group matches tomorrow will create additional opportunities for the Ukrainians to solidify top positions and continue their bid for a place in the next stage of the European tournament.
