Biggest tip would be to use Edge or Firefox rather than chrome for a start.
Also have all your details, name, email, application no etc in a notepad to copy and paste into the pop up that will eventually come up when green as you get a limited amount of time to grab your slot. It’s a pox.
Any half decent web chat based customer service offers a queueing system which allows customers to do other things (ie work, take care of children etc) while they wait. Of course, such revolutionary feature would be beyond the capacity of the Irish government, which specializes in half baked, half assed services.
Are you sure refreshing doesn’t just put you back at the bottom of the queue?
Sorry not trying to have a go here, I’ve no experience of that website, but just my experience from other online queues (ticketmaster etc) refreshing resets your position?
It’s just as bad calling them, I’ve tried a few hundred times over the last week, doesn’t even have a hold service
