Tbh it kind of makes sense as a design. If you want a tube that rotates into position but is stabilised by being held on both sides nearer the ground… this happens.
And now the boring context: the village next to this weapon testing range complained about the Tests being too loud. So they invented a tank silencer to not annoy the inhabitants anymore
