In Bakhmach, Chernihiv region, overnight on October 4, five hits by unmanned aerial vehicles of the “Herbera” type were recorded on critical infrastructure facilities within two hours. As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out at the scene. The information was confirmed by the city mayor, Pavlo Shymko.

“Targeted hits were recorded on October 4 from 22:00 to 24:00. As of now (October 5, 10:40), the fire has been extinguished. People are very frightened,” the city mayor noted.

According to the city mayor, there are no injured residents. As a result of the strikes on the infrastructure facility, residential buildings and other nearby objects were damaged.

Consequences for the region

According to the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, in Chernihiv a power facility was damaged as a result of the drone attack; also a strike was recorded at one of the enterprises – a fire started there.

In Nizhyn, a drone struck one of the enterprises, and a residential building was damaged as well.

In the Semenivka community, a drone strike damaged an administrative building.

The regional situation requires ongoing monitoring and enhanced safety measures in response to further threats from the enemy.
