  1. I mean, they’re already getting arrested for protesting. How does allowing police to arrest them for new charges actually solve anything or prevent the protests?

    It seems like this is just an excuse to put laws into place for other protests, and will have no affect on this actual specific justification for these laws. Dodgy. 

  2. This is paywalled so I’m going to guess – police are going to get new powers allowing them to summarily execute all pro-Palestinian protesters in order to protect the public from hearing that Palestinians have human rights and that the UK government is supporting Israel’s genocide.

    Anyone wearing a Palestine Action t-shirt will be shot in the head by counterterrorism police. Babies wearing a Palestine Action onesie may also be executed but the execution will require a senior officer to sign off a post-execution “review.” Anyone wearing a “Plasticine Action” t-shirt will be arrested and jailed for the new crime of “Confusing the Plod,” with a 65-year mandatory minimum sentencing period.

    Saying “the right to protest is a fundamental right” while curtailing those rights almost every day is pure authoritarian hypocrisy at it’s finest

  4. They arrested 500 last time, and a similar number on numerous occasions before.

    That’s a lot of souls consumed. Obviously they’ll get ranked up rapidly.

  5. Strangely, no such changes were made after the fascist march a few weeks ago which featured sieg heiling thugs, neo-nazi flags, and violent attacks on police which left 26 officers injured, 4 seriously. 

  6. WTF is happening in the UK? Looking and sounding more like the UK from “V for Vendetta” every day. Is the whole damn Western world marching itself into fascism?
