“EUVoice and EUVideo
Open source, decentralised and free, the Mastodon platform indeed combines many advantages. Created in 2016 by the young German developer Eugen Rochko, the competing software of the little blue bird is not invaded by advertisements and does not target its users. It is also funded by donations.
Called “EuVoice”, the server opened at the end of April by the European Union compiles messages from various institutions and official bodies. The EU Court of Justice has its own account, as does the European Space Agency. This initiative was launched by the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), the equivalent of the CNIL at EU level.
