  1. Last time the conservatives tried to get rid of immigrants they spent £700 million sending a whole 4 people to Rwanda. Nobody is going to vote for them to get rid of immigrants.

    Dead party walking.

  2. 1. No you won’t as you won’t have a chance of even being the opposition after the next election

    2. Kemi – please look in the mirror, the people you are trying to appeal to are NOT your friends.

  3. This is about the UK where the Tories think they can win over voters by parroting far right talking points when in truth this will only lead to legitimise the claims of far right competitors like the reform party and make people vote for them instead.

It is also not going to be practically possible, but that won’t stop them from promising it and wasting billions deporting a dozen people to Timbuktu or some place.

  4. Can we start with Kemi? /s

Yes, I know she was born in the UK but do you think the people she is pandering too care about that? But seriously, is this the best the Tories can come up with?

  5. Migration is a complex issue and numbers alone rarely tell the full story.

  6. They’ll once again conveniently forget that under Tory rule, especially post Brexit, skyrocketed. Immigration numbers alone in 2023 was over 1.3 million. How could anyone ever trust the Tories to be in control of the immigration system after they are the ones who butchered it?

  7. Homeland security is simply a dog whistle for culling people the elite dislike.

If Trump’s policies were any good, there wouldn’t be the intentional elements of unusual cruelty and injustices.

  8. I wonder what the criteria will be for choosing 750k people out of approximately 11 million to deport.

Also how long will that take? Is it per year?

If it is then it’s not going to be noticeable when we have almost 500k migrants (net) coming in each year.

If it’s not, then this is of no significance.

It’s almost as if this is a policy, and number, drummed up to get the attention of those that have been sucked in by the constant ragebait about migrants.

  9. They had more than a decade to do just that but they were asleep at the wheels

  10. They’ll spend a bunch of money and come nowhere near their goals because deportation is expensive and mostly ineffective.

  11. Ah, they waited until now to try after a decade in power. Hatefully, incompetent and corrupt. Incredible combination. I will never vote for them in my lifetime.

  12. I can’t wait til all these dumb maga assholes are forced to work the fields for their meal.

  13. When immigrants get deported, who gets their stuff?

Like not just tools and housing, but what if they have a business and inventory? Does the govt get it or is it up for grabs by the arresting officers?

  14. They “pledged” all kinds of stuff but all they really did was cut public services to the bone, hollow out the military, sell off everything they could and sorted each other out with massive government contracts. Fuck them. They had their chance, never again.

  15. I thought Brexit already took back your country a decade ago. Yet all the same complaints are still there somehow?

  16. To where?!

She was asked this, and she said that was an irrelevant question and distraction from the important thing.

  17. How?

    Can I be given details?

For the good of the country, shouldn’t they announce the details of the plan even if Labour does it? It would be a Tory plan so ultimately credit will be theirs.

    Another empty promise?

    Go figure

  18. simply doing this to ratchet up pressure on Labour. I’ve no sympathy for Lab at this point, hopefully some right wing types see that it was the Tories that deliberately caused the issues we now have. This issue has been many years in the making…

  19. If they’re just going to be Reform then what are they actually offering? At this point, any given remaining Tory voter is almost certainly closer to Ken Clarke than Nigel Farage.

They also know full-well this is not a realistic goal. At least I hope they do, otherwise they’re setting themselves up for being totally annihilated a second time.

  20. So Brexit didn’t work? Who woulda guessed. Keep on scapegoating I guess

  21. Has Kemi not worked out yet that the migrants Yaxley keeps harping on about very much includes her?

  22. Trump is attempting to do something like that in Chicago. It’s getting ugly.

  23. The Tories, nay the right will never ‘solve’ any immigration ‘crisis’ because they get so much political capital from it. It’s a cow they can repeatedly sell the politically uninterested.

  24. in other words, the party responsible for the Windrush scandal wants to create an even bigger scandal?

  25. They’ll have to find them first. We’re not even 100% sure there are 750,000 illegal immigrants (they specified illegal) to deport. That’s in the upper half of estimates.

  26. They should. There’s nothing wrong with wanting your country to be free of people who aren’t entitled to be there.
