Very interesting data indicating the difference in perceived life. SF mainly being social class effected more by current cost of living while FFG being middle class not effected as much.
If SF get into government it will be interesting to see where these figures lay in a few years
wealthy – FG, middle – FF, poor – SF
I’m actually looking forward to the next election.
FF FG are the same party now tbh.
I love the way this only became a “cost of living crisis” when it started to impact things for people who already own their homes. For young voters, there’s been a cost of living crisis since the recession ended and rents plus utility prices “recovered”.
The fact that it’s only being labelled a “crisis” now and not several years ago exemplifies the contempt with which Ireland’s establishment regards its youth.
whatever side of the fence you sit on, I really just can’t get my head around the fact that there are still 100s of thousands of fianna fail voters out there.
Sinn Fein certainly don’t have all the answers but they deserve a chance in my opinion. If they are a disaster we can go back to voting for the same arse holes again.
We need some of the other left wing parties to rise up with Sinn Fein.
I mean most impacted by the change you really need to take the poll before and after
Like for the first one if sinn Fein voters we 90% in last poll but are 93% now then their confidence about the future has not changed them much but if FF was 10% and now is 83% they changed alot so it impacted them more
While the focus might be on the SF numbers in these polls, those polling results are significantly bad news for FF and FG – 55.60% of FF and FG voters finding their quality of life is reduced are huge numbers.
I don’t think I’ve ever not bought cheaper food stuff, but I also buy expensive food stuff
What we need in this country is a left wing coalition. A complete change.
Ideally Sinn Fein + other smaller left wing parties would form a government. This would mean that FF/FG would be completely out, while the left wing coalition could focus on real policies that genuinely help the country and not just brown envelopes and the top 1%.
Shouldn’t this poll say “party that ‘feel’ most impacted”. It’s not based on facts, just opinions.
SF come to power, I am taking the first internal transfer in work that comes up and getting out of here. Not one of their economic policies holds water, and their brand of populist politics is well and good until they are in and have to piss off some element of their election base.
The housing crisis, healthcare, justice, they are all symptoms of a long term political malaise and a gross mismanagement by the permanent government, unless SF intend on clearing out the civil service, the change they will bring will be incremental at best.
