  4. Fossil Fuel Hegemony. Think about it, President Carter put solar panels on the White House and warned the Nation that dependence on foreign oil would involve us in wars we could avoid. That was 1979. Had that initiative been taken up the US would have dominated solar panel production and development. Like Moore’s Law in the Personal Computer Market you would have seen generation after generation of improvement over the last 45 years. Homes would be independent of the grid as battery tech would have followed suit as well. You compete by fueling innovation – not denying reality and attempting to control markets with tariffs.

    Leadership. We need leadership.
