What you meant to write was “1789 map of south London, by William Faden”. William Faden was not of south London.
Having said that, most of what is shown in the map was Surrey and Kent in 1789, not south London. Indeed, many of the places on this map didn’t become part of Greater London until 1965.
So perhaps “1789 map, including some of what has become the south part of Greater London, by William Faden” would be a more accurate title.
