Donald Trump has shifted gears. If since returning to the White House on January 20, the U.S. president mostly prattled about his desire to end the war between Israel and Hamas, a sea change manifested following last week’s joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu. Since then, Trump has been focused, and he’s bringing all his weight to bear to get the sides to conclude the war and implement a hostage deal.
