Classic Pierre. I am missing Sartre, de Beauvoir et al. on the bottom row though.

  1. Just because a piece of art shows something, that doesn’t mean it endorces it.

The French do endorse it, but even so.

  2. It’s not porn if it’s shot in black and white and the characters smoke like chimneys in extreme close-ups.

  3. Kubrick’s Lolita will always be a more problematic pedophile movie than french movies which try to speak about the issues about children sexualisation, like Les Chatouilles or Cuties.

Yes, Cuties is one of the most misinterpretated movies of all times but what can you expect from the yanks ?

  4. Missed opportunity to show a certain orange man in the pedophilia section

  5. Putting “Les Chatouilles”, in the meme wich is clearly a denunciation of pedophilia and was written by a victim totally miss the point.

Should have put “Leon, the Professional” instead, especially the director’s cut..(And even Jean Réno, apparently pushed to tone down a lot that aspect in the film).

And yes Sartre and De Beauvoir did a lot of harm to our country in that regard and by trying to influence what is to be accepted. And this is a problem !

Sartre has a pretty dark image nowadays, but Simone de Beauvoir still have a rather good image because of her feminist fight, and people tend to hide under the rug her what she did and said on that subject.

  6. Iirc germany and US have magazines with nude children posing, litterally child porn.
