Central Statistical Bureau calendar-adjusted data at constant prices, published on 6 October, show that in August 2025, industrial production output increased by 2.4 % year-on-year.
Output in manufacturing and in electricity and gas supply rose by 4.1 % and 0.5 %, respectively, while in mining and quarrying it reduced by 23.9 %.
Increased industrial production output was recorded in all three largest manufacturing sectors: in the manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture, it rose by 8.9 %, in the manufacture of food products by 11.2 %, and manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 15.4 %. Upturn was also observed in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (up by 23.7 %), printing and reproduction of recorded media (16.1 %), manufacture of rubber and plastic products (14.0 %), manufacture of furniture (12.8 %), and manufacture of electrical equipment (12.0 %).
However, a reduction was recorded in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment (down by 14.5 %), the manufacture of machinery and equipment (13.7 %), the manufacture of textiles (10.4 %), and the manufacture of beverages (9.6 %).
Month-on-month, industrial production output reduced by 2.4 % (seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). Output in manufacturing went down by 1.0 %, in electricity and gas supply it fell by 24.5 %, and in mining and quarrying it declined by 10.1 %.
Year-on-year, manufacturing turnover increased by 7.4 % (calendar-adjusted data at current prices). Turnover on the domestic market went up by 4.5 % and on the non-domestic market it grew by 9.1 % (of which rise of 13.1 % in the euro area and of 5.7 % in the non-euro area).
Month-on-month, manufacturing turnover grew by 0.1 % (seasonally adjusted data). Turnover on the domestic market fell by 0.3 % while on the non-domestic market it grew by 0.3 % (of which rise of 5.0 % in euro area and drop of 3.6 % in non-euro area).
