Ukraine says Russia intensifying railway strikes to isolate frontline communities • FRANCE 24

A passenger train rendered immo engulfed in flames after two Russian drones attacked the Shotska station in Sunumi province. According to the region’s governor, both staff and passengers were injured. Today, the enemy hit the railway station in Shotska where civilians were at the moment. During the rescue works, there was a second strike on the same railway station. Ukrainian authorities have referred to the tactic as a double tap. A target is struck once, then again when emergency services have arrived on site. The drones hit two trains in the northeastern province, one of which was heading to Kev. The CEO of the rail company said the deadly attack was intentional. They are doing everything to make frontline and border areas uninhabitable. so that people are afraid to go there, afraid to board trains, afraid to gather at markets, and so that students are afraid to return home. Ukrainian President Vadom Zalinski called the strike savage, posting this video to social media, he asked Europe and America to do more than pay lip service. He wants them to act. The Russians could not have been unaware that they were striking civilians. And this is terror the world must not ignore. Every day, Russia takes people’s lives, and only strength can make them stop. Russia has repeatedly targeted Ukraine’s railway infrastructure during its war in Ukraine. Reports say there have been 40 major attacks since August.

The head of Ukraine’s railways said Saturday (October 4) that Russia was intensifying a campaign of air strikes on the network in an attempt to isolate frontline communities ahead of winter. Russia launched drones at two passenger trains in Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region, killing one person and wounding dozens, according to Ukrainian officials.

  4. Ukraine is used by US just to weaken Russia. Unfortunately Ukrainians can't realise that truth and would perish in the process. Already $1 trillion in debt for the future generations

  8. I am not seeing the need for my country to respond in an emergency fashion to Ukraine's cries when not 1 offensive showing for years. Get busy and push this weakened army out of your lands and then we can talk more. To keep any draft laws in place and ask others to fill those spots is not going to happen. Going all in for the win will be the motivation for others to fill these rear supporting roles on your lands. Put your army on your borders with the weapons and money the world is providing properly instead of a defensive stance for appeasement.

  15. All this destruction could have been avoided if Zelensky signed the April 2022 Istanbul Treaty. Former leaders in Israel and Turkey worked hard to put together a reasonable peace agreement which guaranteed Russia's complete withdrawal from East Ukraine in return for Ukraine's permanent military neutrality. P.M. Boris Johnson and Pres. Biden told Zelensky not to sign it and to keep fighting Russia.
