  1. Darren Grimes gloating. Bet he wanked himself silly under his desk.

    Crafty wank.

  2. I’m gonna go ahead and say this says more about the people booing than it does him.

  3. >“I stand in solidarity demanding the return of the hostages. I stand with you in demanding peace for all of our communities and that we may live in harmony together in our country.”

    >After he finished his speech, he was booed loudly by the crowd.

People have developed so much blind hatred towards Palestinians they’re attacking a politician that agrees with them about hostage returns because he also wants peace for the victims of genocide. It’s disgraceful.

Darren Grimes can also get in the bin, the slimy cunt.

  4. I think it’s more important than ever that we and the media draw a clear distinction between “The Jewish Community” and “Political Zionists”, even if those two circles overlap a lot.

It’s unfair to the Jewish Community to assume they’re all aligned, as a bloc, with the actions of a foreign power because of their ethno-religious identity, and it’s also cynically deployed to conflate criticism of zionism with anti-semitism.

  5. If you boo at someone for talking about peace and arguing that people don’t deserve to die whether they support isreal or palestine, then you are a monster and I don’t know what we need to do with you in a civil society

  6. The media and politicians need to do a better job at distinguishing between “Jewish Zionists” and “the Jewish community”. If someone is stood there holding a giant fuck off Israeli flag that’s probably a good indication that they may have some other opinions worth parsing.

That’s Swinney and Lammy both now that have prostrated themselves infront of genocidal maniacs only to get heckled.

  7. If protesting genocide bothers you, you are pro-genocide. If you are protesting someone parroting the same line as the Israeli government – the 10 remaining Israeli hostages are important, the 10,000 Palestinians in Israeli jails being held as de facto hostages aren’t- then there is a strong chance that you simply hate Palestinians. Booing someone talking about striving for peace and harmony is idiotic.

  8. He was invited to offer condolences for the terror attack and thought advocating for a Hamas state while the bodies are still warm and while hostages still languish in Gaza was a good idea.

How was that relevant or appropriate?

  9. Heckled by racists, that’s what’s missing here, someone needs to pipe up and say it, Zionism is racism

  10. General point of advice if you are going to a commemoration for the dead don’t do anything other than give your condolences. There is a time and place for everything. If you can’t say something nice or meaningful that is absolutely fine just don’t say anything.

  11. If anyone here hasnt watched John Oliver’s Last week tonight, from 25th september, i really recommend it. Use a vpn if you’re in the UK. Its on YouTube but not from here due to Sky being arseholes.

Start from about 8 and a bit minutes where he starts talking about Israe1 and specifically Netenyahu.

  12. Yeah no surprise, the SNP’s pro Palestine stance isn’t gonna do them much favours with the Jewish community.

  13. Swinney certainly knows how to read the room bravo

  14. As a bit of SNP grandstanding, he made a foolish, self-righteous aside about Scottish “recognition” of ill-defined Palestinian statehood.

Quite apart from dropping a clanger like that it really showed he can’t think on his feet.
