Turkey Says Russian Oil Purchases Up To Firms Amid Trump’s Call

1. SS: Turkey’s energy minister has said buying Russian oil is a commercial decision made by refiners, signaling reluctance to abide by US President Donald Trump’s calls to cut energy ties with Moscow.

   Turkey has stated that it’s refineries were built with the idea of oil coming from nearby countries making oil imports from Russia a necessity, US has currently provided a deal to allow Turkey to buy oil from Iraq after a two year halt but this statement shows Turkey is not happy with being told where to buy it’s oil from and having its 5th generation fighter jet program being interfered with.
