According to the military, members of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit and the Judea Regional Brigade carried out the overnight demolition in the city of Hebron.

The home belonged to Ahmad Himouni, 25, who, along with Mohammad Mesek, 19, carried out a deadly shooting and stabbing spree at a light rail station in Jaffa on October 1, 2024 — just minutes before Iran launched a massive missile attack on Israel.

Mesek was shot dead by a municipal security officer, and Himouni was seriously wounded by armed civilians.

The IDF previously announced in March that homes belonging to both Himouni and Mesek in Hebron had been demolished. However, the military confirmed the home destroyed overnight was a separate building.

Israel maintains a policy of demolishing the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out deadly terror attacks, as part of its broader deterrence measures.
