Knitting group sends Christmas boxes to Ukraine and Moldova

A knitting group is sending Christmas shoeboxes to Ukraine and Moldova.

Exmouth Knit and Chat, in their sixteenth year, have been busy collecting and knitting items for their annual festive initiative.

The group has been sending these boxes to European villages for several years.

However, for the past three years, they have also been reaching out to the war-torn areas of Ukraine.

The group has been filling boxes for boys, girls, families, grandfathers, and grandmothers.

The boxes will be transported in a large lorry, ensuring they reach their destination in time for Christmas.

The group hope their efforts will help to brighten the lives of those who have little to cheer about.
