My kids (6 and 8) can’t play outside on Sunday because a neighbour comes out and yells at them. They are scared of her. It’s not that the noise of kids playing bothers her, but rather that she can hear them. I also get complaints if I play music from my phone while barbecueing. From my phone! The swiss have a funny relationship with fun. Merci Calvin!
I don’t get all the Bünzli comments. I’m actually complaining that I can’t do everything I want to do on Sunday because of my Bünzli neighbors, but when I want to actually get some quiet time in the forest, the football match gets a pass on Sunday rule.
In France you’re allowed to cut your grass on Sunday between 10 and 12. Pretty decent compromise imo.
