Press conference presenting MEETING G2.11 in Novska
The town of Novska will on 17–18 October 2025 host the 11th edition of MEETING G2, the leading international business conference dedicated to connecting Croatia and its diaspora.
Under the slogan “Life is a Game – Croatia is Your Playground,” this year’s MEETING G2.11 will bring together around 200 participants, 40 speakers and panellists, and four keynote guests from Croatia and around the world.
The two-day event will once again serve as a platform for building business links, sharing knowledge and experiences, and creating new opportunities between the homeland and the global Croatian community.
The conference was announced at Novska’s PISMO2 Business Incubator, with Mayor Marija Kušmiš, Meeting G2 President Antun Krešimir Buterin, Deputy President Ante Lučić, and Director of Novska’s Development Agency Vida Iličić presenting the details.
This year’s partner country is Sweden, represented by three distinguished guests:
• Roko Kursar, Deputy Mayor of Malmö – Europe’s largest gaming hub – will join the gaming industry panel.
• Dr Katarina Gospic, neuroscientist and AI expert, will take part in the discussion on artificial intelligence.
• Siniša Grgić, Croatia’s Ambassador to Sweden and Latvia, will deliver a keynote speech titled “From Novska to Stockholm: Data as the Common Language of Today” and join the panel on IT in agriculture.
Novska – A Vision of Growth
Known as a rising hub for the gaming industry and modern technologies, Novska is a fitting host for this year’s event.
“Novska is honoured to host this important conference. Connecting Croatians at home and abroad is never easy, but MEETING G2 has succeeded in doing that for over a decade. The theme of gaming is particularly relevant today – not just in Croatia, but globally – and Novska has a great story to tell in that field,” said Mayor Kušmiš.
She added that Novska continues to preserve its traditions while embracing innovation and attracting young families, entrepreneurs, and returnees.
From AI to Space Tech – Croatia on the Global Innovation Map
MEETING G2 President Antun Krešimir Buterin emphasised that the programme extends far beyond gaming.
“We’ve built a broad agenda that covers AI, drones, robotics, space technologies, and IT in agriculture – because Slavonia remains Croatia’s breadbasket,” he said.
International guests will include Nicolas Bronzovich, the highest-ranking Croatian in the Argentine government and Director of Argentina’s National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA), who will join the panel on digital transformation in agriculture.

Bringing Business Beyond Zagreb
Deputy President Ante Lučić explained that hosting the event outside the capital marks a new chapter for the organisation.
“After a decade in Zagreb, we wanted to spotlight investment potential across Croatia – and Novska is a great example of that,” he said.
Vida Iličić, Director of Novska’s Development Agency, added that the conference will help local entrepreneurs connect with diaspora business leaders, exchange ideas, and potentially attract new investors.
Programme Highlights – From Novska to Space
The conference opens with a panel titled “Novska – Paradise on Earth”, showcasing the city’s growing investment appeal. Other panels include:

Business and Celebration in One
The first conference day will end with a gala dinner and open-air concert on Novska’s main square, coinciding with the city’s Lukovo Day celebrations. Performances will include Prljavo Kazalište and CroDance Team.
On Saturday, 18 October, a more relaxed programme is planned – visits to local projects and investments, solar boat rides, and lunch in Lonjsko Polje Nature Park – concluding with concerts by Mate Bulić and Magazin.
