  1. What a fucking clown.

Purely empty threat. Putin, the person holding the leash of Lukashenko, would never allow that to happen, because natural gas exports are vital for the economy of Russia. Natural resources is the only thing that is keeping the Russian economy afloat.

  2. I don’t understand how the fuck EU is getting trolled by this dude and does almost nothing. I just don’t..

  3. Is it pointless as we have backups? It could be catastrophic few years ago but now?

I mean for example Poland have LPG terminal or NordStream can be a backup gas pipe in such situation?

  4. See this is why French are correct in pursuing nuclear
Not only is it green and helps cut co2 but it defangs these authoritarian assholes.

  5. So Belarus will lose Transit Fees, whilst Europe can use the newly built TANAP and NS2 pipelines to make up for this. BRILLIANT!

And in the long run our dependence on fossil fuel decreases year on year

  6. I genuinely wish he would, just so politicians across the continent can pull their heads out of their asses so they can finally acknowledge that needing energy from a state which wants to destroy you is beyond stupid.

  7. Oh no! if only we had some other way of heating… like some woody thing, or some zappy lightning stuff that heats up metal…

    anyway

  8. Putin should get his vassal under control, before he gets Ceausescu treatment from his citizens.

  9. So that was the fucking endgame.

“Listen everyone, nord stream 2 is needed because Lukashenko suddenly went apeshit without anyone pulling his strings or ordering him to! Woah, Europe got lucky!!!”.

My sides are in orbit. Literally russian made international blackmail fueled by crimes against humanity.

  10. Woah, as a Brit I have never even heard of a neighbouring country threatening to allow a shit load of migrants through and threatening cutting off the energy supply.

  11. Cut everything. Gas, oil, trade. No nation in EU should support an authoritarian regime with anything.

  12. Call his bluff and if he cuts gas then embargo companies making business with Belarus, including Russian ones.

That’s the only way to force Putin to back down since he’s behind this clown, rubbing his little hands.

  13. It’s been said to the point of cliche now, but if it wasn’t for the greens obsession with gutting germanys nuclear power program this gas valve “diplomacy” would never have gotten this bad and Germanys emissions per capita would be a global benchmark. Could literally tell lukascenko to go piss in the wind
