  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-72M4CZ

This more significant than just the handover, as it will mean the definitive end of T72 model in Czech Army.

As such, this will make redundant also all of the spare parts and ammunition, allowing complete stockpile to be transfered along with the tanks.

The first T72M1 were delivered in March 2022. This will mean that the entire 116pcs stockpile that the Czech Republic had on 24 February 2022 will now be in Ukrainian hands (while the Czech Republic is waiting for delivery of 77 ordered Leo 2A8).

  2. The newspaper is quite misleading.

The chief of general staff will recommend handing these over to Ukraine.
Czech Republic just had election, and populists + vatniks hold majority. They are unlikely to satisfy the request, unfortunately.

  3. Babiš is not Trump. His main priority may be personal wealth and power,  and immunity from shady Agrofert fraudulent dealings, but he is not an absolute lunatic surrounded by incompetent yes men. There will still be vaguely normal qualified people making sensible decisions.
