My latest: Russian deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov said the “powerful momentum” towards finding a peace settlement in Ukraine that gathered after Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin met in Alaska has been “largely exhausted,” and he blamed Kyiv’s European allies for the collapse.

    To be sure, the only “peace” that putin wanted was the kind when a people and a country surrender.

    As for trump, his view of “peace” was driven by hopes to attain a Nobel prize…strictly a vanity drive.

    Both are pathetic and very dangerous leaders that should be removed from office.

  15. Camp David Accords took 2 weeks with sleepy Jimmy Carter. Trump can’t get it done after 9 months of being in office? Sad.

  16. Trump is a failure and Putin wants too much. The average mind on Reddit can figure that out. But Putin won’t budge at anything less than a total victory because he needs justification. And the Ukrainians are NOT having that at all if they can hold out.

  19. Until Russia exits all Ukraine territory, there will be no peace. The only thing Trump could do is give more weapons to Ukraine for peace negotiations until Russia negotiates its way out.

  21. The peace that Putin didn’t even attempt to try is “exhausted”. Real exhaustion is when Russia runs out of diesel and gas and electricity.

  23. Finally! It took Russia to tell him what his allies have been saying since TACO became president. The opposing party he despises told him that ages ago too.
