Paraguay will take on the nation of Norway in the Round of 16 in the knockout stage of the U-20 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon at Estadio Fiscal in Talca, Chile. This will be the team’s first game of the knockout stage after both teams came out of group play last week. Paraguay opened up the tournament in Group B, along with Ukraine, Korea Republic, and Panama. Ukraine ran away with the group, finishing three points higher than the No. 2 team, which was Paraguay, who had four points on one win, one draw, and one loss.

Norway competed in Group F, along with the Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia. Three teams made the knockout stage from with all but Saudi Arabia ending with one win. Colombia, who won the group, and Norway both had a win and two draws without a loss, while Nigeria had a loss. Norway lost the tiebreaker to Colombia.
Norway secured its only win against Nigeria in its first game of the group stage, a 1-0 victory. Rasmus Holten scored the only goal that won the game and three points for Norway. The nation went on to draw its next two games, scoreless against Colombia and 1-1 against Saudi Arabia. Niklas Fuglestad was the lone goal scorer for Norway in the draw.
