What are these prints?

  1. Hi all, got these two prints from the Jakuševec flea market today – would like to ask what these prints are? They seem to be made from a perforated cloth of some sort! How did these used to get displayed?

  2. Goblins are making this,it is in our lore..every full moon they meet up under bridge,slaughter living sheep and make the tread from their wool paint it and u know the rest..then they sell ot on jakuševac and who ever buys it gets cursed with impotency..

  3. you need threads of the colors suggested on the border of the goblen and then you fill it in with a thread and a needle of course. these seem small and doable, should not take you more than an a week. we have some goblens that take months to complete. they are usually framed after completion.

  4. It was a very popular “art” form in Yugoslavia with a peak in the 80ies, and then simply disappeared

  5. Goblen, basically knitted pixel art. My grandpa made these in the living room when I was younger. Not many people do it anymore. Big ones cost cash cash money.
