Where were we when the autists were the ‘engine’ of Europe?
I wouldn’t celebrate to quickly. They grow faster on average than us.

and people wonder why Americans think Europe is a country
I think you misspelled currency effects.
EU >>> CN, US
I mean comparing a country to a continent is a choice but sure W I guess, if the population is about equal then maybe it’s a good comparator.
That’s cute and all, but Brexit means Brexit.
China/’s wild growth times are over…
İ always laugh wryly when people trust the official data of corrupt countries, which are most countries.
Even the world bank is not so reliable in the economic data of said countries.
The EU is most likely way ahead of China for years now probably.
Don’t say that out loud, Daddy Donald might wish to increase that allowance disguised as a defense budget higher.
China has literally a billion people more than the entire EU and they still can’t beat us. Pathetic
At least half the EU GDP is Ireland. The rest of you slackers need to get creative with accounting.
If every EU country could massage GDP as well as we did, we could stop people using GDP as a metric forever.
The EU hasn’t ‘just’ surpassed China, it has always been ahead of China (except for COVID).
Unfortunately, by 2027 the EU will be at 20.5 trillion whilst China will be at 21.5 trillion. EU growth is at 1.2% to China at 4%.
Based on current projections by 2030 it’ll be at least 2 trillion USD larger.
China is also corrupt af and play politics politicians here would dream of.
If they go to war in the near future their economy will implode so im not betting much in the chinese economy, plus they have good gdp data, but on a capita wise its shit moreso so if you go to the median and lower ends of the spectrum.

engines function because constraints channel energy into useful work , that’s how I see regulations; they direct human effort safely and purposefully.
also how are you supposed to be productive if you’ve not consumed at least 2000 calories during esmorzaret? 🇪🇸
Don’t forget that even the Chinese themselves say that their gdp figures are more of a guideline. Autocracies are more likely to inflate the numbers
The more I travel outside of the EU the more I love it.
Regulation has its reasons and people have it for granted while forgetting why they exist.
And big americ*nt companies like to tell us “regulations kills businesses” so they can sell us their canrcinogenic products and their unmoderated propaganda machines.
Now can we actually do something with it please? I feel more patriotic about China than EU and im not even Chinese, because every day i see 5 new impressive things from there.
Meanwhile here we have like, a new supercomputer than runs an AI thats as good as ChatGPT from 2 years ago.
Regulations are generally good. Even if they are silly they are there is usually a reason for them.
The plaatic cap thingy 🤣
Hey I’m sure all the future Chinese cities aren’t propaganda at all
maybe regulations aren’t such a bad thing after all
